Rotorua squash player Amanda Landers-Murphy and Paul Coll were beaten in the quarterfinals overnight at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The pairing defeated Scotland's Alan Clyne and Frania Gillen-Buchert 2-1 (11-9, 9-11, 11-5) yesterday morning to qualify.
But in the quarters they lost in straight sets to Australia's Kasey Brown and Cameron Pilley.
This is the first time Landers-Murphy, 23, has competed at the Commonwealth Games.
Her mum Delwyn Wharehoka travelled to Glasgow to watch her daughter and said it was an amazing atmosphere.
