There are sports field closures in Rotorua this afternoon and tonight.
Rotorua Lakes Council has closed the number two field at Linton Park and also requested only activity on the dry areas of Neil Hunt Park where there is the most grass cover.
The number one field at Linton Park remains open.
The council thanked the public for their patience.
