A new album of classic songs from the great Rotorua performer, the late Sir Howard Morrison, will be released at the end of the month.
Sony Music, in conjunction with Sir Howard's family, have produced the brand new career retrospective titled How Great Thou Art: The very best of Sir Howard Morrison to be released on October 30.
The album draws content from his entire recording career - from the many top 40 hits of the Howard Morrison Quartet during the late 1950s and early 1960s - though his hugely successful solo career, and up to his sad passing in 2009, this new very best of sees for the first time a track listing that his family feels best represents their father's amazing legacy.
The album closes with a brand new song, If I Could Change My Life, written and recorded by his son Howard Morrison Jnr, as a family tribute to his father.
Featured on the 21-track album are the songs How Great Thou Art, Where have all the flowers gone?, Hawaiian Cowboy and Hine e hine/Home sweet home.
