She said there was little supermarkets could do to allay her concerns.
"I am infuriated. To be honest, really I am more concerned that it's been contaminated at the other end."
She said it was not fair for the protesters to target baby formula.
"Because I can't breastfeed any more, I have no choice. They are targeting the wrong people.
"I disagree with the use of 1080, but it is hypocritical what they are doing, they have got it wrong."
She said she would not be buying any dairy products from supermarkets.
"I am going to be buying organic, get organic milk like it used to be."
Information sheets in-store also had contact details for the government's Food Protection website, police, Healthline, and Plunket.
New World had signs next to the formula saying all formula in the store was being monitored by CCTV.
The Warehouse has removed infant formula from its 92 stores nation-wide. It can now be purchased in-store from the customer service counter.
The Warehouse has emailed customers, saying they are actively working with the Ministry for Primary Industries on the contamination threat.
The email notified customers that significant additional security measures had been put in place throughout The Warehouse's distribution chain.
These included additional security processes, as well as checks and monitoring, in all of The Warehouse's distribution centres and stores.
