The Waikato men's team and Auckland women's team have won national titles at the Bayleys National Sevens in Rotorua.

The two-day tournament wrapped up this evening with the men's cup final and women's cup final.

Waikato won the men's final 38-19 against 2014 champions Wellington, and Auckland won the women's final 29-14 against 2014 champs Manawatu.

Meanwhile, the Bay of Plenty women's and men's teams both reached the cup semifinals before losing to Auckland (35-10) and Waikato (33-0) respectively in the semifinals.

Thousands turned out for the two-day tournament at Rotorua International Stadium, which featured the best 16 men's provinces and top 10 women's provinces from across the country.
