A serious crash involving a former Rotorua family near Whakatane has prompted a gesture from a local tourist attraction.
A man, woman and their young daughter have suffered serious injuries in a crash in the Eastern Bay this week involving their ute and a logging truck.
Zorb New Zealand in Rotorua is offering discounted $10 wet Zorb single rides tomorrow in a bid to raise funds for the family.
The tourist attraction is sharing a post on social media called Big Love Fundraiser which asks people to go to Zorb tomorrow to help raise money.
"This is a cash ride for one person to raise funds for one of our tourism whanau who were involved in a serious car accident and are in need of some love and support from us," the Facebook post says.
