We asked Rotorua Lakes High students why they love their school.

Deputy head girl Maria Trass says Rotorua Lakes High is like family.

I think we get to know people a lot better. There are few people you don't know here, especially at Year 13 when the class gets smaller. It's like a family.

It's not like a big school where you're a number. You're a person to every teacher here. They focus on you as an individual.
