Those are just a few words to describe Whakarewarewa's performance against Ngongotahā in the last Baywide Premier match of round one at Puarenga Park on Saturday.
Eventually winning 69-0, it was a big statement and valuable momentum builder for Whakarewarewa heading into the second phase of the competition.
The game started fairly evenly, Ngongotahā were enthusiastic and actually had the best of the territory and possession in the opening 15 minutes. However, they failed to turn that period of dominance into points and after kicking a penalty to go up 3-0, Whakarewarewa never looked back.
They opened the scoring through winger Kimo Houltham on the back of one of the fends of the season from flanker Slade Apo.
The Whakarewarewa backs were starting to look dangerous on the back of the possession their big forward pack was winning them. After 25 minutes fullback Arikitohia Hood was in for the first of his four tries after a well executed shift to the right put him in space on the wing.
The forwards were eager to show they could get across the try line too and 10 minutes before halftime hooker Jesse Mason-Grant did just that after a cleverly worked lineout put him straight through a big gap on the blindside.
It was starting to feel as if Whakarewarewa would score every time they touched the ball - Hood and centre Mathew Garland looked most dangerous, sparking numerous attacking opportunities. They added a try each to lead 36-0 at halftime.
To Ngongotahā's credit their heads never dropped, however errors when in possession limited their opportunities to get back in the game.
Early in the second half Hood secured his hatrick on the back of another powerful run by Garland. Mason-Grant scored his second after a long period of possession and with 20 minutes to go Whakarewarewa were up 48-0.
Hood made it 55-0 before tempers threatened to boil over. Several players received yellow cards but it meant little so late in the game.
Whakarewarewa's Te Rangi Fraser came on late in the game and demonstrated his attacking prowess with a couple of classy tries. Shaq Stone, playing in his 50th match for the club, kicked the final conversion on fulltime to make it 69-0.
Whakarewarewa coach Boxer Smith said finding form heading into round two was crucial.
"It's huge, to make a statement like that. It will make our boys even more confident and give them the belief that they can do the job and do it well.
"I was pretty surprised at the score to be honest. Ngongotahā came and gave it for the first 20 minutes, but our boys stayed to their structure and executed at every opportunity.
"Credit goes to the forward pack, they dominated well in the collision zone and definitely in the scrums. We looked to play up tempo on the back of that," Smith said.
Ngongotahā coach Jodie Wharekura said his side struggled to get in the game.
"At the end of the day Whaka have shown that they've really grown in the last couple of weeks. I'd hate to see them not be really competitive in that top grade. With the team and the squad they have, they should be pushing for top four," Wharekura said.
