"Pacific were more than testing, we had to come back and win it at the end. We were talking about it afterwards and neither coach could remember the last time Ngongotahā beat Pacific, so it was good for us," Nahu said.
Having played every team now, he said it was "a pretty tight competition".
"There's no easy games, every team in there is very competitive and you have to earn your win, that's for sure. Every game so far has been really hard fought."
He said the standout players against Pacific were Tai Kapua and Dennis Newton.
"Tai is filling in at hooker while Destry [Tamai] is away on the New Zealand Universities tour. He was outstanding yesterday - his movements out of dummy-half, his running and his vision. His defence was outstanding as well, he had a very good game.
"Dennis had another strong game, he's having a very good season."
Pikiao coach Jason Parata said, despite the loss to Mangakino, the effort from his players was an improvement.
"It was a tough one, but it was probably one of our better efforts for the year. Their effort was great, the execution lacked at times, but the effort was there.
"We were down 14-0 early but came back. They scored quite late to get the 10-point lead," Parata said.
He said it was Mangakino's club culture which was setting them apart this season.
"They have a good core group that attracts other people, people want to play for them. I don't know if their footy is any more attractive than anyone else's but the culture is there."
The competition takes a weekend off for Queen's Birthday next weekend.
