Rotorua sparkled at the Harcourts Dancing with the Stars, with Kelly Albrecht and Steve Pinder taking home the trophy with a high-energy jive.
While a final figure isn't in, the event has been deemed a huge success with Hospice Rotorua funding and development manager Jan Morgan "delighted" with the evening, and hopeful the money raised will exceed last year's total.
The 2016 event raised more than $110,000 for Hospice Rotorua.
Ms Morgan said more than 1900 people attended the event at the Energy Events Centre on Saturday night, with all corporate and table seats sold out.
She said there were "literally hundreds" of people to thank.
"[They] brought Rotorua a programme with contestants from all walks of life who have sacrificed so much of their time and energy. All the performers were outstanding. It's pretty amazing dancers with limited or no dancing experience can put on a show of that magnitude."
Mrs Albrecht, a part time IT help desk specialist who runs her own cake business, said she was "stoked" with how the evening went.
"Everyone really nailed [their performances]. Steve and I wanted to put on a show for hospice, a bit of entertainment for the audience. The best part was the crowd - the roar when we first started our dance made me want to stay up there all night."
Mr Pinder, who works for Westpac, said it had been a "fantastic event."
"As always, the Rotorua community gets out to support a great cause."
He said he celebrated afterwards with some drinks at Novotel Rotorua, looking back at the journey he and the other 19 dancers had been on.
The event was co-hosted by Tamati Coffey and actor/tv presenter Miriama Smith, with four judges; Heather Du Plessis-Allan, Hayley Holt, Colin Mathura-Jeffree and D'Artagnan Kennedy.

Following the first round of performances and judging, three couples danced off for the top spot; Mr Pinder and Mrs Albrecht, Daniel Michael and Te Rina West with a rhumba, samba and hip-hop number, and Gina Oudyn and Steve Holmes with a Viennese waltz.
The winner was decided by what Mr Coffey said was a "good ol' Kiwi clap-o-meter."
Mr Coffey, who also hosted last year, said it was a spectacular night, "a truly community focused event."
"It was a beautiful event for a wonderful cause, it was nothing but glitz and glamour."
He said his co-host was brilliant, "The fact she is from Rotorua counts so much, she understands our people and our city.
"[The judges] all had their own strengths, D'Artagnan and Hayley [know] the technical side of dancing, Colin with the entertainment side and Heather with her journalistic integrity. They worked well as a team."
Alongside the 10 couples' routines, there was other performances and a live auction, with auctioneer Robert Tulp dressed as Elvis Presley.
The night was opened by a performance from last year's top four couples Justin Nichols and Donna Bates, Paul Hickey and Tania Tapsell, Darrin Walsh and Nadia Burborough and Rodney Conrad and Judi Geenty.
Later in the evening, Mr Nichols and Ms Bates performed their winning dance from last year, followed by a dance from choreographers Shelley Martin and Troy Smith.
An emotional point in the evening came when Michael Pilaar's father, Christian Pilaar, spoke about his son and how the hospice had helped him.
The event was dedicated to Michael, who died in June. He was an entrant in last year's Harcourts Dancing with the Stars but due to his cancer diagnosis was unable to perform.
Ms Morgan said the money raised would be a huge help for Hospice Rotorua.
"It costs almost $2 million to run the service. The Government provides 60 per cent of that. This leaves us with a significant funding gap which has to be raised. This event is a true community event and effort, most of the proceeds will go directly to patient care."
