Rotorua has seen another big jump in property values, rising 12.4 per in the past 12 months, hitting an average value of $310,109.
The QV House Price Index for April, released at midday, shows the current average value of a house in Rotorua is 12.4 per cent higher than last April and 5 per cent higher than three months ago.
Average values now sit around 5.6 per cent higher than the 2007 market peak.
QV national spokeswoman Andrea Rush said all the main centres around New Zealand and many regional centres had seen home values increase during April.
"All parts of the Auckland region are rising again however at a slower rate than many other upper North Island centres such as Hamilton, Tauranga and Rotorua as well as in the districts surrounding areas like the Thames Coromandel, Waipa, Hauraki, Matamata-Piako and Waikato Districts."
