Mrs Adams said the Supreme Award was the most prestigious award they had won and the one they were most proud of bringing home so far.
"It's like hitting a life milestone. It's such a great accomplishment for our family."
Mrs Adams said they were Rotorua's only five star holiday park, and they did a lot of work within the community and their sector.
"I think it's amazing, it's like a hidden gem in Rotorua."
The holiday park's ongoing developments and upgrades, along with its online marketing and social media presence, were two things which made it successful, she said.
"We're continually striving to improve our business and we're always looking at new things to implement."
Next year would be a really big year, with some "exciting plans" coming up.
"Many of the initiatives come from listening to our customers through various online review sites and social media is a great way for us to engage with our customers."
Mrs Adams said they had a new website designed earlier this year and have added interactive cameras to the site, which allows people to view their business from a more realistic perspective.
She said it was a very family oriented business.
"Jared and his family have built it up to what it is."
Mr and Mrs Adams bought a half share in the central city park from Mr Adams' parents in 2012, and live on site with their two sons.
They said they had had "so much support" from Top 10 Holiday Parks, Holiday Accommodation Parks Association of New Zealand and their local community.
