Several Rotorua players have been named in the Bay of Plenty Under 18 girls rugby squad.
Rotorua Girls' High School's Anaya Waiomio, Matalena Rapana, Allannah Tapara and Emma Tonihi O'Toole as well as Nadia Flavell, Kytana Smith and Sela Moafaane from Western Heights High School and Julia Florence from John Paul College have made the squad.
Coach Jimi McLean said it had been a difficult task finalising the squad with the abundance of talent available for selection.
"We are fortunate to have depth and experience across the squad with a bulk of the squad backing up from last season or playing in the local Baywide Women's Rugby competition," he said.
The team will play three representative games as well as one pre-season match.
