The way Rotorua Girls' moved the ball around made defending an exhausting exercise for the Waikite players and it began to show in the third quarter as they could only manage three goals, trailing 68-26 with one quarter to play.
Waikite managed to pull things back in the fourth quarter but it was too little, too late as Rotorua Girls' completed a comfortable victory.

In the other Premier 1 games, Marist Magic beat Kahukura Red 48-30 and Murupara Stingers beat Mitchell Downs 53-36.
