The Rotorua Daily Post has been announced as a finalist for a prestigious Newspaper of the Year award in this year's Voyager Media Awards.
In the Newspaper of the Year (up to 30,000 circulation) category, the Rotorua Daily Post is one of five finalists, along with sister NZME newspaper the Bay of Plenty Times.
Carmen Hall is a finalist for Regional Journalist of the Year for her work across the Rotorua Daily Post and the Bay of Plenty Times while photographer Andrew Warner, who also works across both titles, is in the running for the award for Best Photography - news.
Another NZME paper, the Taupo & Turangi Weekender, is one of 10 finalists for the Community Newspaper of the Year.
Scott Inglis, NZME regional editor - Bay of Plenty, said he was proud of the Rotorua editorial team's achievements.
