The Rotorua Brass Band will be two days late for its 125th birthday.
Band conductor Jim McGregor said the first band performance was on November 9, 1892, so when the 125th birthday is celebrated with a concert on November 11, they'll be few days past the anniversary date.
But he's sure not too many people will notice.
Past and present members of the brass band will gather at the Bainbridge Centre on Old Taupo Rd to put on a show. Entry will be a gold coin.
"We've got former members coming from all around the place including one from Canada," Mr McGregor said.
