Police responded to reports of about 10 to 20 people fighting on a street in Ngongotahā this evening.

A police spokeswoman said officers were called to reports of a large fight taking place on Taui St at 5.20pm.

She said initial reports were that there were no weapons involved.

Once officers arrived, everyone appeared to have scattered from the scene, she said.
