The company, which began in Rotorua before spreading to other parts of the country, has more than 5000 people on its books looking for properties.
After leaving her job at the Rotorua SPCA, Mrs Van Den Broek said she came across the job while out buying a kitchen - and thought it sounded perfect.
"I love to buy houses but can't keep buying them for myself."
She believed Rotorua was a great place to buy investment properties and said there were plenty of good tenants out there looking for quality rentals as well as a "huge demand" of people wanting to invest.
"I can give them the numbers, a rental appraisal and point them in the right direction."
She said some of the stock was a bit run down, but she was able to give them advice on what improvements were needed to make them a good long-term investment. As a landlord one of the areas she is passionate about is making sure properties are warm and properly insulated.
Mrs Van Den Broek said it was an exciting job being able to look at properties for others, but it also carried some responsibility.
"I find out if the numbers stack up. Having been a landlord for 30 years I know what tenants want."
Her experience as a landlord and president of the Rotorua Property Investors Association was a good base for the job, as well as almost two decades in Rotorua.
She has previously been named New Zealand's Landlord of the Year.
Her best advice was to know your areas, and even the particular streets within the areas, don't fall in love with a property and be prepared to walk away and to make sure you get a cashflow positive property.
