Bay of Plenty police are looking for a man in relation to the petrol drive-offs in Mt Maunganui and Rotorua on March 22 and 23.

The vehicle was also seen near the scene of an incident at Coronation Park, Mount Maunganui, on Easter Saturday.

Tauranga Police would like to speak with him about the thefts and any assistance he can provide for the Easter Saturday incident at Mt Maunganui.

He is described as a Pacific Islander, medium to large build, aged around 20 years, with short hair on the sides which is longer and pulled back into a short ponytail on top.

The vehicle is a silver Subaru station wagon, with a sunroof and rails to fit a roof rack.
