Police name Lynda Anne Bailey as woman killed in State Highway 5 crash near Rotorua

The names of three of the people killed in crashes in the past few days have been released.

The woman who died after a crash on State Highway 5 yesterday was 56-year-old Lynda Anne Bailey from Auckland.

The crash, involving a car and stock truck, happened about 4:45pm, near Ngatira, north of Rotorua.

Police offered their sympathies to Ms Bailey's family at this difficult time.

Two German nationals were killed in a crash on State Highway 47 near Whakapapa on Saturday morning.

They were 31-year-old Rebekka Maria Isenmann and 35-year-old Simon Daniel Schweizer.

The Serious Crash Unit was investigating the cause of both crashes.
