A car was spiked and the occupants fled the scene after a police chase in Rotorua today.
The chase began at 10.55am when police attempted to pull a car over. Five police cars were initially involved in the chase.
A police spokeswoman said the occupants of the car fled the scene after the car had been spiked.
A tow truck was called.
The spokeswoman said it was unknown why police tried to pull the car over and she could not say where they attempted to pull it over.
