Police reported few incidents at this year's Lakeside concert, attributing the family environment with good behaviour.
Thousands of people turned out to the annual variety show held at Rotorua's Village Green on Saturday night, which featured music, dance, lighting and fireworks displays.
Rotorua police Acting Inspector Brendon Keenan said only a few arrests were made.
"It was a very good night overall. There were few arrests and generally well behaved crowds. The crowds dispersed quickly after the fireworks," he said.
"It was a bit like New Year's Eve, there were a few disorders from youth and a couple of breach of bail arrests. There was one for assault but it ended up being a warning."
