Police responded to calls of three cars doing burnouts in a Whakatāne reserve last night. Photo / File

Police were called to reports of three cars doing burnouts in a Whakatāne reserve last night.

A police media communications spokeswoman said police were alerted to the cars doing burnouts in a reserve on Muriwai Drive about 9.40pm.

Police spoke to the drivers of the cars at the scene and enquiries were ongoing, the spokeswoman said.
