The Rotorua community has its last chance to help make a difference during Conservation Week.
Volunteers are needed for streamside restorative planting on a popular section of track within the Whakarewarewa Forest.
The section being planted is a riparian strip alongside the stream, off the Tokorangi Pa track, in an area of commercial forest.
Planting will take place on Sunday from 1-3.30pm.
Tokorangi Forest manager Julianne Wilkinson said the area being planted had been harvested and was in desperate need of a facelift.
