The two men charged with the aggravated robbery of the Kawaha Point Superette last week have appeared in court for the first time.
Today Duan Nikora Mercer, 19, and Walter Solomon Tuala, 18, appeared separately in the Rotorua District Court represented by separate lawyers.
Lawyer Douglas Hall appeared on behalf of Mercer's lawyer Moana Dorset and asked for a remand without plea until Mercer's next appearance.
Mercer, who appeared via audio-visual link, was remanded in custody until April 11.
Lawyer Ngaroma Tahana represented Tuala, who appeared in person.
