Looking for something to do this New Year's Eve? Check out the following events in and around Rotorua:

Rotorua GLO Party: This free event will be packed with art, music and fireworks. Head down to the Rotorua Lakefront Village Green from 6pm to 12am. There will be fireworks displays at 9.15pm and again at midnight. Featured acts will include Vince Harder, The Oneill Twins, Stylus and more. Rotary Charity Market: Earlier in the day Kuirau park will set the day up with a wide variety of produce, ethnic foods, jewellery, clothing, massages and more. All proceeds go back to the community. From7am to 2pm, wet or fine.

New Year's Eve Dinner at Stratosfare: Join in the celebrations with family and friends while dining off the amazing Stratosfare Buffet, then later enjoying Rotorua's annual spectacular fireworks display from your very own seat. Lake Okareka Fireworks: Enjoy a free fireworks display at Lake Okareka. Early display will be about 9.30pm and the main display at 12am.

The Lava Bar presents a 007 NYE PARTY: Head to The Lava Bar and celebrate well into the night. The event will be filled with barbecue, drink specials/007 Cocktail, prizes and DJ Jonny.T from 8pm.

New Year's Eve at Ponsonby Rd Lounge Bar: The party will go from 7pm to 3am at the popular Eat Streat bar. There will be live music.

Live music at The Pig and Whistle: There will be a countdown and a live band at the historic pub. Entry is free before 9.30pm.

Terrace Kitchen and Bar: Celebrate the new year at Terrace Kitchen with live music and fireworks from 6.30pm through to the early hours. Featuring live music from local artists: Matt Barnard, Georgia Taylor and Stella Maris. Bookings essential www.terrace.kitchen.

TAUPO: Reggae By The River: Reggae By the River is back and thrilled to announce that UB40, featuring the original members Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue, will be headlining at Riverside Park & Unison Amphitheatre, Redoubt St, Taupo, to kick off New Year's Eve from 12pm to 6pm.
