Rotorua residents and visitors to the city now have another outlet for purchasing tickets for the latest concerts, sports, arts, theatre, shows and family events taking place in the city and around the country.
A second Rotorua Ticketmaster outlet opened in the City Focus yesterday and is an extension to the service currently provided by the Rotorua Lakes Council at the Sir Howard Morrison Performing Arts Centre on Fenton St.
Rotorua Lakes Council Events and Venues general manager Peter McLeod said the new outlet worked well with the council's Rotorua 2030 vision towards revitalising the inner city and supporting the performing arts.
"There are real advantages to having an additional Ticketmaster outlet at the City Focus, including extra convenience for people in the inner city where a satellite i-SITE operates seven days a week.
"With a number of fantastic events being held in Rotorua over these summer months, such as the Vodafone Warriors game, Mama Mia show, Fat Freddy's Drop concert, Bayley's
National Sevens Championship, Lakeside concert, and Crankworx mountain bike festival, it made sense to provide local people and visitors with another outlet in an easily accessible part of the inner city," he said.
