One of the questions I get asked quite often about the relaunch of The Daily Post is regarding the type size.
Just yesterday at a speaking engagement I was asked if the font size would be staying the same or getting smaller when the paper goes to the smaller compact format.
I can reassure our readers the font size will not be changing. The lovely folk at the U3A (University of the 3rd Age) function also asked me what the difference was between "compact" and "tabloid".
The answer is: there is no difference, but the word "tabloid" has taken on new life, particularly in reference to the British red top press, and has overly negative connotations.
So we'll stick to calling our new format "compact". Either way, it's a format that's easier to read and that's an improvement we're looking forward to bringing you.
