Coast to Coast legend Steve Gurney will host an multisport information night followed by a skills session in Rotorua this week.
The Kathmandu Coast to Coast information nights are being held nationwide with the Rotorua session tomorrow at the Kathmandu store on Tutanekai St at 5.30pm.
Gurney will go through how to get started with multisport, cover advice on nutrition and training tips and offer a great chance to meet other first-timers wanting some insights and information about the Coast to Coast event.
A practical skills session covering rock running, kayak drills for technique, and bunch riding etiquette will take place between 7-9 am on Wednesday at Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake).
Gurney is a New Zealand multisport legend who won the gruelling Coast to Coast race a record nine times. The race runs from the west coast to the east coast of the South Island, and features running, cycling and kayaking elements over a total of 243 kilometres.
