Multiple cars involved in crash on Rotorua's Te Ngae Rd

Emergency services are responding to a crash on Te Ngae Rd.

A police spokeswoman said they were called to the scene at 4.40pm at the intersection of Wharenui Rd

One person has minor injuries, she said.

A Rotorua Daily Post reporter at the scene said at least four cars were involved and had damage to their bumpers.

Traffic was backed up in both directions but was particularly bad in the eastbound lane, she said.

Police, ambulance, and fire and emergency were at the scene.
