"People are really excited about it."
She says the idea behind the Melt Festival is to have something fun and special for locals and visitors to do on Easter weekend.
"I'm really excited about it and hoping for some beautiful sunshine so people can really enjoy the weekend.
"Overall, I'm feeling really happy and excited to see it coming together."
She encourages people to go along for a fun and affordable way to spend time together, with some cool free events.
"It's great having such a cool community of local businesses who enjoy working together."
The Rotorua Museum's annual Easter Egg Hunt is part of the festival this year, and will run for one day.
Tori Williams, Rotorua Museum events and engagement co-ordinator, says there are a couple of large eggs that survived last year's Easter cyclone, but they are making some cool new ones for this year's hunt.
There will be nine different eggs for people to find, and like last year there will be a letter hanging under the egg.
They will be hidden up relatively high, but the clues should make it easy for children of all ages to finish the hunt and get their prize, she says.
She says they do ask that people leave the eggs in place so all the other egg detectives that follow can complete the hunt as well.
"We are happy to bring our ever-popular Easter Egg Hunt to the Melt Festival this year.
"It was a great fit and we are looking forward to having all the families hunting through the beautiful Kuirau Park on Easter Sunday."
Tori says it is a great chance to do something with the family and explore the redeveloped Kuirau Park area.
"Melt has loads of great free events on. What's not to like about chocolate?"
