The Geyser Community Foundation has more than $45,000 available for the Rotorua and Taupo communities.

The Geyser Community Foundation has more than $45,000 available for the Rotorua and Taupo communities from its Tindall Foundation Supporting Families and Social Service Fund this year.

Chairman of Geyser's Distribution Advisory Committee, Dr Kierin Irvine said as funding manager, Geyser is provided with funds to distribute to charitable organisations in the Rotorua and Taupo district communities.

"All applications must be made directly to the Geyser Community Foundation," he said.

Dr Irvine said Geyser trustees had approved gifts totalling more than $160,000 to a variety of community organisations in the local regions since being appointed funding manager by The Tindall Foundation in 2013.

"Ten community organisations received gifts totalling $44,570 last year."
