A young kayaker who found themselves waylaid on Lake Rotorua has been found after an hour-long search.
A police spokeswoman said police had arrived at the lake near Tupara Cresent at 4.15pm to search for the missing minor.
The youngster was found uninjured floating off Sulphur Point at 5.21pm this afternoon.
The spokeswoman said there was no information around whether the person was wearing a lifejacket.
