An overdue boatie who prompted rescue services to plan a late-night search near Taupō has been found.
Rescue services gathered last night to begin the search for the missing boatie after they were reported overdue off Western Bay Rd in Waihaha about 5.20pm, a police spokeswoman said.
Land Search andRescue, the Coastguard and the Harbourmaster had all been notified and had gathered to plan a search.
Inquiries were made and the boatie was located by 8.30pm.
