A man has been taken to hospital after an altercation in Whakatāne overnight.
A police spokeswoman said the altercation between two men, near the intersection of Tuhoe Ave and Stewart St, was reported about 9.10pm.
A St John spokeswoman said one ambulance was sent to the scene and took a man with moderate injuries to Whakatāne Hospital.
