Dame Kiri Te Kanawa wowed her Rotorua audience in what was likely to have been one of the star's last live concerts in the region.
Last night the opera singing icon took to the stage at the Rotorua Civic Theatre as part of her 70th birthday tour of New Zealand and Australia.
Rotorua was one of only a handful of cities chosen to host the acclaimed soprano, and fans travelled from across New Zealand for the chance to see her perform.
Willie and Margaret Laverty travelled from Hamilton for the occasion, and said they wouldn't have missed it for the world.
"We're huge fans. We have been ever since we moved to New Zealand from Ireland, which was decades ago," Mr Laverty said.
