Logging truck rolls in Taneatua

A logging truck has rolled in a forest near Taneatua, injuring the driver.

Police were alerted of the crash near Taneatua, in the eastern Bay of Plenty, at about 12.45pm today.

A police northern communications spokeswoman said the male driver had received moderate injuries. The man was taken to Whakatane Hospital for treatment. The driver is believed to have been the only occupant of the truck.

Ambulance and police had arrived at the scene.
