Some of Rotorua's top talent was on show yesterday for the annual Mayoral Command Performance Concert for the Elderly.
Hundreds of Rotorua's senior citizens and their families almost filled the Rotorua Concert Chamber for the 110 minute long concert sponsored by the Rotorua Energy Charitable Trust.
The concert began with a series of numbers performed by the Rotorua Symphonic Band, including Louis Armstrong's Wonderful World and La Bamba.
The audience was also treated to some top quality opera from soprano Elisha Fai Hulton who was later joined by all round entertainer Russell Harrison.
Rotorua Deputy Mayor and MC for the day, Trevor Maxwell, said the show resulted in a "sea of smiling faces".
