The atmosphere was filled with suspense during the prolonged game between Argentina and Germany.
Screams, cheers and tears erupted when Germany scoredthe only goal of the match, in extra time.
Those wearing blue and white suddenly went silent.
One fan from Germany, Jenny Ebersold, who was visiting Rotorua with her friend, said she was thrilled Germany won the game.
