She's been attracting the attention of the country, but now Lizzie Marvelly has had the chance to perform back on her home turf.
The 25-year-old classical crossover-turned pop singer had the chance to share her first, just-released EP with fans and invited guests at the Civic Theatre last night.
The EP, called Collisions, comes after two years of hard work and song writing.
Marvelly was welcomed to the stage by Rotorua mayor Steve Chadwick before showcasing her new work as well as some covers. She performed in front of an almost sell-out crowd of hometown fans.
As part of giving back, Marvelly invited 300 Rotorua music students from intermediate age up to watch free of charge.
