Lizzie Marvelly

Lizzie Marvelly is returning home, not just to Rotorua but to her family's Princes Gate Hotel for a three-night gig called 'Lizzie Marvelly Unplugged'.

She'll be playing songs from her latest EP, Collisions, covering old favourites and debuting new music slated for release over the coming months.

"I love performing in Rotorua. I'm really excited about these three shows, particularly as I'll be performing at home at the Princes Gate.

"I love the atmosphere of performing in an intimate environment and I'm looking forward to singing my heart out in a venue that has provided the backdrop for so many great memories over the years."

Marvelly will be accompanied by Stephen Small on keys, a long-time friend and collaborator. The two have been performing together since 2007.

"Performing live Stephen is a lot of fun, and I'm really looking forward to pushing the boundaries musically."

Marvelly has been particularly industrious lately, having recently launched a new website, Villainesse.com, an online media project aiming to create smart, 'no-filter' media for young women.

"The response has been pretty amazing and I'm loving working with such incredible young writers. It's early days, but there are lots of exciting things ahead for Villainesse."
