Recently there has been much discussion about the temperatures we are experiencing in New Zealand, several different dates have been bandied about as to when it was last this hot - the oldest so far being 1909 - so if we just accept that then we have to assume that it was either hotter than this in 1909 or just as hot, either way it brings up the question 'when did 'global warming' actually start? If it was in 1909 then why are we all getting lathered up on what we are doing today?
I know for a fact that it snowed on the Pyramids in Egypt in 1947, also that the USA has just had one of the worst winters in living memory, and Montreal experienced the coldest Christmas since records began! So, why should we be concerned with global warming, we are, after all, still coming out of the last Ice Age!
