Pick your own
With reference to the article regarding the waste of fruit in NZ (News, November 14).
I have been involved with many businesses over the years and one thing I learned very early - if something is not selling then look at the price.
One of the very popular summer activities in the UK - 'pick your own' fruit and veg, this was something we looked forward to as parents, it was a Sunday activity, cherries, strawberries, apples, black and blueberries, farms all around the area were involved, the big bulk was sold in farm shops, another welcomed market.
