Have you seen the light? If someone "sees the light", they finally realise something or change their attitude or way of behaving, to a better one. Now that Te Putake o Tawa on Tarawera Road has "seen the light of day" (coming into existence), we're now seeing lights on at different times of day.
All the lights have been on at 8.16am and 3.35pm. Surely this is a huge waste of money in electricity costs to the ratepayers?
With daylight saving, one would've thought the lights would've been programmed to come on at 8pm at night and then turn off at 10pm after the carpark closes at 9pm? Surely the lights are not on for 17 hours per day, when the carpark is mostly closed?
The easiest way to save money is to waste less energy - Barack Obama.
There needs to be more haste to stop the waste.
