Surely no one leaves car keys in the ignition when they get out of the driver's door, especially in Rotorua. Are the police not trained in this basic safety?

Learning to live together
Just a thought, if we did not have Jesus Christ, Mary, God, Moses, Allah, Buddha, Muhammad and any of the other gods worshipped in the world we would have little choice other than to love one another, to love the planet, the earth, trees, rivers, animals, birds, music, summers, winters, spring times and fall; we would have to love each day and calm evening, dogs and children; we would have to learn to live together and help one another without spending all that time learning about bibles, and supporting massive structures like cathedrals and borders, and killing each other: Isn't it a good thing we have religion to help us through the day.

Special thanks
On Christmas Day in particular there are many, many people who have to work but the majority in essential industries are well known and acknowledged. I'd like to let the carergivers/carers in our community know how much they are appreciated for their sacrifice in giving up their own family time to assist the ones in need of special assistance 24/7 - the ones who cannot easily do for themselves but wish to remain in their own homes. I am in the fortunate situation of requiring no personal care attention but I do know of others who rely on these special people every day of the year, including Christmas Day. They more than earn our thanks and respect.
