Re survivor embraces life two years after stroke (Rotorua Daily Post, June 25).
A big well done Candice, there's not much hard work can't conquer and it is hard work trying to get back to being normal after a brain injury - the simplest of things become your worst nightmare. As for your dignity going out the window who cares you're alive aren't you?
I know it's a life-changing event and catastrophic but in later life you will look back and think it was just a blip and has brought out your fighting spirit. You have got a second chance at life, superior inner strength and have taken a new direction so make the most of it.
Never look back, full steam ahead and don't listen to doctors when they say what you can and can't do it's your life.
