Labour Party MPs and members have been seen in large numbers out and about in Rotorua recently.
Three of them - Kris Faafoi, Peeni Henare and Poto Williams - joined Labour's Rotorua spokesman Tamati Coffey on a tour of the city yesterday, beginning with a breakfast meeting at a local cafe.
They then visited Rotorua Primary School to help children with their Matakokiri course - a science and technology programme run by Te Taumata o Ngati Whakaue Iho Ake Trust.
Visits to Rotorua Woman's Refuge followed, along with meetings with members of the Takiwai Rotorua Maori Business Network and Rotorua Budget Advisory Services.
Mr Coffey said Labour's recent focus on regional New Zealand was a great opportunity to get members of the party's caucus to the city to hear first hand about the issues people are facing.
