Police investigating the death of Fai Deane in Taupo on January 30 say they are continuing to make steady progress with their inquiries.
Detective Senior Sergeant Matt Cranshaw of Taupo Area CIB, said a number of people had been interviewed as part of the investigation, which also included inquiries into Ms Deane's medical background and the actions of a driver who crashed into a power pole in the area prior to her death.
A person who called for help after Ms Deane's death indicated a power cut may have been responsible for her death, because it led to her oxygen machine failing.
"This is a detailed investigation with a number of complex aspects that need to be examined and resolved before we can make a determination as to the exact circumstances of Fai's death," Mr Cranshaw said.
"Until those inquiries are completed, we won't be in a position to determine what, if any, further police action may follow.
