The Rotorua based BayTrust Rescue helicopter has taken a woman to hospital following a fall.
The BayTrust Rescue helicopter was dispatched to a house near the township of Ruatahuna, located in the Urewera National Park, about 1.45pm today.
A 58-year-old local woman had suffered suspected head injuries at the result of a fall.
The helicopter was despatched as the location is very remote and time was critical.
The woman was flown to Rotorua Hospital and is in a comfortable condition.
