Heavy rain watch for Rotorua and Bay of Plenty

A heavy rain watch is in place for Bay of Plenty and Rotorua today.

MetService said periods of rain, some heavy with possible thunderstorms and localised downpours, were expected in the region.

The watch is in place from 9am to 5pm today.
